At 5:44 PM, our department was alerted for an engine to assist UPT Fire & Emergency Services with a house fire in the 300 block of Old State Road in Upper Providence Township. The caller reported their house was filling with smoke.

Deputy Chief and Rescue 65 responded to the incident. Our crew was assigned to control utilities to the house, place ground ladders around the exterior, and assist with ventilation from the interior. Our crew cleared the scene after about a half hour.

This incident occurred during the height of the snowstorm. The fire reportedly began in the furnace and ductwork and then extended to the ceiling.
