Several of our drivers recently completed an Aerial Apparatus Practices Extended course. This course teaches current and future drivers the basic design and operational theory of aerial devices. They were also instructed on safety considerations, spotting and stabilizing, operation of the ladder and elevated master streams, and use of the ladder for rescue.

This course is part of a broader training program to prepare our drivers for delivery of our new Tractor-Drawn Aerial "tiller" truck which will arrive sometime in 2025. The tiller in these photos is on loan to our department until our new tiller arrives. Delivery is expected in 2025.

The course was presented by Chester County Department of Emergency Services. Thank you to 102 Queens Lane LLC for use of their property.
