At 3:44 AM, our department was alerted for a vehicle crash with entrapment in the 300 block of Nutt Road (Route 23). The caller reported a two-vehicle crash with one occupant trapped in their vehicle.

Chief, Rescue, MICU 65-1 and Utility 65-2 responded to the incident. Firefighters arrived to find a single vehicle which had crashed into a tree. The occupant was confined in the vehicle. Electric-hydraulic rescue tools were used to remove the driver's door so the patient could be accessed. The occupant was transported to Paoli Hospital. A second MICU was requested for an injured firefighter. The firefighter was transported to Phoenixville Hospital.

Crews cleared the scene in just under an hour.
