At 8:38 AM, our department was alerted for an engine to assist Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co. with a house fire on the 1200 block of Audrey Lane in Schuylkill Township. The house was reported to be fully involved with fire.

Engine, Rescue, Ladder 65-1, Utility 65-2, and MICU 65-2 responded to the incident. Fire crews arrived to find a well-advanced fire. Phoenixville firefighters assisted with placing a deck-gun in service to provide a quick blitz attack while hose lines were being stretched, and then entered the house with two hose lines to attack the fire. Shortly thereafter, firefighters were evacuated from the house due to concerns of structural integrity. The master stream on Ladder 65 was placed in service and combined with hose lines to extinguish the bulk of the fire from the exterior. After a period of time, firefighters reentered the house for final extinguishment and overhaul.

Our units cleared the scene after about two and a half hours. A ladder truck from Limerick Fire Department and an engine from Lower Providence Fire Department were transferred to Phoenixville to assist with any additional emergencies in the area during this time.
