Our volunteers and career staff are dedicated to providing high quality fire, rescue and medical support services to the Borough of Phoenixville and surrounding communities. We are always looking for additional help from our community to expand this team.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
A quick response service (QRS) program is being established to support the emergency medical services provided in the Borough of Phoenixville by TowerDirect EMS - Phoenixville Division. This will be a licensed service through the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Due to rising call volume, increased population and greater demand on the EMS system as a whole this is a service that is needed.
Minimum Requirements To Apply:
- At least 18 years of age
- Interview with our Membership/Nominations Committee
- We will submit a criminal background inquiry
- You must submit a Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (directions will be provided)
- All new volunteers will be in a probationary period for 6 months
Additional requirements for those wishing to become a EMT:
- EMT: complete approximately 150-200 hours of training in your first 12-18 months.
