At 10:55 AM, our department was alerted for a clothes dryer on fire at the Happy Wash Day Laundromat on Bridge Street.

Chief and Engine 65 responded to the incident. Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the building with contents smoldering inside one of the dryers. The contents were removed from the dryer and a pressurized water fire extinguisher was used to fully douse the contents. A fan was used to clear smoke from the building. Crews cleared the scene after about 20 minutes.
