At 06:17 AM, Our department was alerted for Rescue 65 to respond as the second Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) assignment to assist Ludwigs Corner Fire Company on a working house fire. The house was located on the 2400 block of Flowing Springs Road in West Vincent Township.

A crew with Rescue 65 responded to the incident. Our crew was placed in RIT ready standby mode for about 45 minutes and were then released from the scene.

The purpose of a RIT crew is to be on standby outside and be fully ready to react immediately if a firefighter inside the structure experiences an emergency such as a major medical emergency or injury, running out of air or becomes trapped.
